Bio: I was born in Quebec, Canada and raised in British Columbia. I moved to Los Angeles in 1975 to attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Upon graduation, I made Los Angeles my home with my husband, Jeff. For many years I made my living as a software consultant to the legal industry. In my spare time I created and designed wedding dresses. My true passion was discovered at the hands of master potter, Tony Campbell, in St. Eustache, Quebec. It was there that I found my true calling in art. Since that moment I have been devoting myself fulltime to this medium. I established my studio in the serene hills of Fallbrook, CA where I create both wheel thrown and hand-built pottery. Statement: My pottery is my passion and through it I aspire to reach out to people and pass along this passion. I create pieces that welcome touch as well as eye appeal. There is no greater pleasure in art than knowing that my pottery goes from my hands to people's homes; to be displayed, enjoyed and used. In my present situation as an 'Artist@Sea' my work is influenced by living on land and on the sea. I experience constant changes depending on the current longitude and latitude. The natural balance of living at sea and on land creates a unique and ever-changing creative environment.
(Tony and her husband, Ian, now live in Picton, Ontario where she has established her new studio. I will always be grateful for her assistance and patience) |
